Parent and caregiver training
You know your child best. Training gives you tools that work in your family’s everyday life.
What you work on
In caregiver training, you meet with your child’s behavior analyst to learn and practice strategies, for example:
- helping your child communicate
- building routines for mornings, meals and bedtime
- preparing for outings, appointments and changes
- responding to behavior in ways that teach
You practice with feedback, at a pace that fits your family. Other caregivers who help raise your child can take part too.
Part of every plan
Most ABA plans include caregiver training, because skills grow faster when they are practiced across the day. Ask us how it fits your schedule.
