Get started

Getting started is simple

Here is what usually happens, from the first call to the first session.

  1. Step 1: Reach out

Call us or send us a message. We will ask a few questions about your child, your plan and what you hope for.

  2. Step 2: We check your coverage

We confirm what your insurance covers for ABA and what it needs before services start, such as a diagnosis or a referral.

  3. Step 3: An assessment with a behavior analyst

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) meets your child and your family, observes, asks questions and learns what matters to you.

  4. Step 4: Your child’s plan

The behavior analyst writes a plan with goals you agree on. Most plans ask the insurer to approve it before sessions begin.

  5. Step 5: Sessions begin

Your child’s team starts sessions at the times and places agreed. You see progress in regular meetings with the behavior analyst.

What to have ready

It helps to have these at hand, if you have them:

  • your child’s insurance card
  • the report with your child’s diagnosis
  • a referral or prescription, if your plan asks for one
  • school documents, such as an IEP, if your child has one

If something is missing, contact us anyway: we will tell you how to get it.
